Bleak or Black

How did the Rolling Stones want to paint it?

Imagine a world in black

Can you make it?

Black, bleak or black, aren’t they the same thing?

So visible and so hidden

Do you think black hides the forbidden?

So profane like a sinner

Dark like the burden of guilt getting bigger

I see you and I know

You’ve been nodding have you not?

But I want to open your eyes

and let the beauty of the color black show

For the myths around this color are no more than careless lies

and if you look into its soul

You’ll see it's as pure and gentle as the sunrise

It is lonely and peaceful

And it’s the color love-letter ink

The silence that comes with it makes you calm

And it allows you to reflect and think

It whispers wise words into your ear like the verses of a psalm

Do you see it now?

the beauty of black?

Open other people’s eyes

So that black can have their dignity black
