Christmas in Pachas

Finally, it's that time of year!!! I'm sure that for a lot of us, Christmas is our favorite holiday, I mean, how could it not?! Christmas is that time of year when you spend time with your family, eat lots and lots and lots of “buñuelos” and “natilla”, build the Christmas tree, even do the famous “novelas bailables”!! Yes, Christmas is special, but I think that our school, Pachas, makes this holiday a thousand times better.

To start, let's talk about when we were younger, when art class was mandatory and we would always make these decorations in class for the Christmas novena and we all felt part of the amazing team that makes the coliseum prettier in Christmas!!! I remember one decoration in particular, I remember when Leo gave us a heart and told us to paint it as we liked and that the purpose of it was to make a decoration for our christmas tree at home. This one was very special because my parents kept it, they hung it every year and would refuse to give this one away. Until this year when, sadly, my mom was taking it out of a box, it fell from her hands and broke, she almost cried!!!

Another thing that makes Christmas special in Pachas are, obviously, the novenas. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that the spirit this event brings is incredibly big. I love watching the theater girls making their plays and being so into making them good for all of us to see. I love to see the dances Janeth comes up with that have something special, how the chorus sings is just AWESOME and the girls that play instruments really surprise me. I love how we all work together and make our best efforts so that every novena is just as awesome as the last one. Of course, it's not only our novena that I love, I know that one of the things we are most excited about is the novena of "empleados" !!! To see what the girls of twelfth grade come up with every year is very exciting, I can't wait to see it this year.

What I intend to do by writing this article, is to make all of you see how special our school is and specially, how it brings us all together to show our Christmas spirit and what we are all capable of doing.

Merry Christmas to you all, and have a happy New Year!
