The only one you need:Music

Have you ever experienced a day in which everything seems to be wrong, and even when trying to talk with someone they simply do not understand you, so you just have the urge to listen to music to make yourself feel better? I have experienced this. That is the reason why, in this essay, I'm going to convince you that sometimes the only one you need to find comfort in, is music. Starting, music is written to express emotions and it also makes you go through processes of introspection. A process in which you can feel identified with the song theme, the story behind it or the writer/singer.

First of all, let's talk about why music is written. In some cases, music does not have a motive to be born, yet most of the time it is written to express things, such as feelings, expressing unconformity towards cultural situations, supporting movements, opinions, etc. Putting this into context, when you feel angry, sad, disappointed, heartbroken, or in love, there is always going to be a song that relates to your feelings. Some people listen to sad music when they are sad, yet some play hype music for them to feel good again, everything depending on the personal taste. Gathering everything up, what I am trying to say is that music can comprehend you better than people.

Succeeding, let's talk about how music is just very profound because it makes you go through processes of introspection, where you identify your feelings and identify with the song. Imagine being sad because of a reason, so you grab your headphones and put them on. You close your eyes and start listening to a very sad and emotional song, you hear the lyrics and begin to relate to them. At the same time, you dive into your memories and rethink the situation that makes you sad, you analyze it and accept your feelings. You acknowledge yourself. Music is like a hand in your back that pushes you to know yourself. I also want to add that you are not only identifying with the song, but you're also unconsciously recognizing the background of it: what was happening in the context of the author and what were the feelings she/he wanted to portray.

Lastly, I am going to include some playlists that I recommend for each emotion. Obviously, it depends on your music taste, and if you play sad music when you are sad or hyped to hype you up, etc. It depends. In addition, I also want to say that it is okay to feel the emotions you feel, you don't have to feel ashamed of them or guilty, because at the end, emotions make us human.
