You must go on

I know that day you died too,

But you'll soon forget, it'll take a few.

Yet your heart longs for me,

and hidden in plain sight, where no one can see

It lays your grief, and my love sets you free.

A couple years we fought with strength

But soon enough you'd look away

My eyes were open and filled with pain

Yours were clear, and shined in vain.

You were always their golden one,

I was the trash, the worthless guy.

Nobody cared, or shed a tear

When I stood up and disappeared.

No one remembers or cares enough

About my poor father, wife, or son.

You haven't forgotten, I see it in your eyes

But you'll soon go on and find a new life

‘Cause time will go on and never wait by.
